The name says it all, The Center for Hope Haiti, is just that; a place where hope thrives and where we hope that the dream of a better Haiti can become a reality. The Center for Hope is divided into 3 major components: Missional Complex, Haitian Outreach Village, Sustainability Efforts.
This is a 3 apartment housing complex for our staff missionaries, our visiting guests and short term mission teams. The largest of the apartments is on the first floor and can house short term mission teams of up to 24 at one time. One of the upstair 2 bedroom / 1 bath apartments houses our full time staff missionaries, while the other apartment is a “Prophet’s Quarters” reserved for visiting ministers and HKI leadership when they visit. We have full time cooks and staff that maintain the complex ensuring that our visiting short term mission teams are comfortable and can be focused on their purpose in Haiti.
Haitian Outreach Village
Our vision for the Haitian Outreach VIllage, is to provide a community space inside the Center for Hope that provides us a place to interact with our Haitian neighbors and that will provide for some needs in the community where we live.
Playgrounds are difficult to find in Haiti, maintained playgrounds even more so, that is why we are purchasing and installing a fully functional playground for the children in our community. HKI also will have a basketball court, pavilion as well as housing for our Haitian Staff in the Haitian Outreach VIllage.
HKI is focused on finding solutions for sustainability that can be deployed throughout Haiti. We plan on exploring a number of different programs as an extensions of our discipleship and mentoring programs.
